To help you understand who we are and how we operate - here is a brief outline of our business:

MAE TANG ORCHIDS was established in October 1990. We have our own orchid nursery in Thailand, situated near the small market town of Mae Mali in the district of Mae Tang, which is 40km North of

Chiang Mai the principle city of Northern Thailand. The business is run by Peter Williams who has been growing and studying Asian orchid species for over twenty-five years.

Our main specialty is growing Thai orchid species. We have found that most Thai growers do not want to grow species because they only flower once a year and are difficult to cultivate. They prefer instead to grow a range of the popular hybrids which will flower several times a year, giving them more local sales opportunities.

Although we are specializing in growing species on our nursery, we have several reliable contacts amongst the orchid growers in the North of Thailand who have very good stocks of hybrids for sale.
